About this finish
Seen from across a room, a Plaid sheet has the even, slightly soft sheen of a brushed finish. Step closer and the grain resolves into two sets of fine lines crossing each other, the pattern that gives the finish its name. Because the two directions reflect light differently, the crosshatch shifts as you move past it, and the surface reads as textured rather than flat.
The pattern is a brushed texture worked into the metal, not a printed pattern or a coating. The colours listed are Gold, Black, Bronze and Sand Bronze; the group's process list for this finish includes PVD, a hard, thin ceramic coating in which the colour is in the coating rather than a paint film, so the crosshatch remains visible beneath it.

Care & maintenance
Wipe with a soft cloth and warm water with a mild detergent, then rinse and dry. The crosshatch has two grain directions, so wipe along one of them rather than in circles to avoid streaks. Keep bleach, hydrochloric acid cleaners and abrasive pads off the surface; they mark the brushed lines and, on coloured sheet, wear the coating. In Riyadh, wind-blown dust settles in the grain and is best lifted with water rather than a dry cloth, which drags grit across the surface. Outdoors, a periodic freshwater rinse removes dust and salt before they sit on the metal.
