Physical vapour deposition bonds a thin metal-compound layer to the sheet, colouring it without paint. Mono colours give one tone, such as gold, bronze, black, copper or champagne; dichromic colours shift between two tones with the viewing angle.
Any mechanical base finish can be coated, so the colour and the texture are chosen separately. The coating is hard and holds its tone indoors.
