Interior Fit-Out

Fit-out contractors work to a handover date that does not move, with metal elements that arrive late in the programme and have to fit joinery already on site. We supply the metal parts of retail, office, F&B and commercial fit-outs across Saudi Arabia, cut, folded, V-grooved and finished to the shop drawings, so the site fixes panels rather than fabricating them.

The work ranges from wrapped columns and reception desks to shopfront frames, display fixtures, skirtings, trims, signage backings and decorative screens, in stainless, brass and aluminium, with brushed, mirror, patterned and PVD-coloured finishes. • V-grooved and folded cladding: columns, bulkheads, counters and reveals wrapped with continuous grain and sharp corners, from our joinery-metal service.

Choosing material and finish for a commercial interior

304 stainless is the default for interiors: it takes every finish, holds PVD colour and stands up to daily cleaning. 316L is specified where the interior meets the outdoors or a wet area in a coastal city, and for washrooms and F&B back-of-house where cleaning chemicals are aggressive. Aluminium 5052 suits lightweight ceiling panels and large perforated sheets where weight on the substructure matters, and C27200 brass is cut and formed where the design wants real brass and accepts its patina.

Finish is chosen for the location of the surface. Hairline and brush hide handling; mirror belongs above hand height; anti-fingerprint coatings help on doors, counters and lift-lobby panels; etched patterns and vibration finishes disguise wear on high-traffic elements. Fitting metal to joinery

Metal and joinery meet at a line the eye goes to first, so fit-out metal is made to the joinery drawings, not to nominal sizes. Sheet thickness is confirmed against the thickness variation the standard allows, so a trim that must sit flush with a laminate edge is specified with that in mind. V-grooved panels are supplied flat and folded on site, or folded in the works and delivered as finished shells, depending on access and the size of the element. Every panel carries its position number from the setting-out drawing, and protective film stays on until the snagging walk.

What a good enquiry contains

Joinery or shop drawings with the metal elements marked, a finish schedule naming the base finish and PVD colour per element, grade and thickness, the fixing method, and the handover date the delivery must serve. Panel weights for the substructure design can be checked on the sheet and plate weight calculator. When the package is defined, send the enquiry with the sample requirement stated, and ask for the cutting file check if the drawings are still moving.

Common questions

Can you work from the joinery contractor's drawings directly?

Yes. We take the joinery shop drawings, extract the metal elements and return a metal shop drawing with the fold and V-groove lines, the finish schedule and the position numbers for approval. Producing from the joinery drawing rather than a re-measure keeps the metal and timber interfaces aligned.

Do you deliver V-grooved panels flat or folded?

Either. Flat V-grooved panels fold on site around columns and bulkheads that cannot be reached with a finished shell, while smaller elements such as counter fronts and reveals are folded in the works and delivered ready to fix. The choice is made at shop-drawing stage from the site access and the element size.

How is the finish protected during the fit-out?

Panels leave with protective film on every visible face and stay filmed until the final clean. PVD-coloured and mirror elements are also boxed individually. The handover pack names the cleaning products to avoid, since most finish damage on fit-outs happens in the last week, from abrasive pads and solvent cleaners used on the surrounding joinery.

What is the smallest order you take for a fit-out?

There is no set minimum. A single wrapped column or a run of skirting trims is quoted from the drawing like any larger package, and cutting from our own stock means small quantities do not wait for a mill order. Lead time depends on the finish and whether PVD is involved, and it is quoted with the enquiry.
