Perforated metal lets light, air and sound through while the sheet keeps doing its job as a screen, a guard or a facade. We perforate in standard round, square and slotted patterns, and cut custom patterns — mashrabiya geometry, graduated openings, an image translated into hole sizes — straight from the designer’s file. The sheet can come from our stock, and the finished panel can be folded, framed and PVD-coated in the same building.
What gets perforated
- Facade screens and sunshades — patterned panels that cut solar gain and give a building its skin, supplied flat or folded into cassettes.
- Balustrade and railing infill — perforated panels as an alternative to glass or bars, in a pattern that suits the building.
- Ceilings and acoustic panels — perforated tiles and planks that hide services and, with a backing, absorb sound.
- Grilles, guards and enclosures — machine guards, ventilation grilles and equipment enclosures where airflow and protection have to coexist.
- Mashrabiya and decorative screens — traditional and contemporary geometry, cut from the architect’s drawing and finished to match the interior.
Why perforation
A perforated sheet is one part doing several jobs: a screen, a shade, a guard and a surface at the same time. Standard patterns are quick and economical; custom patterns are cut on the laser, so the only limit on the geometry is what the sheet will hold together. Open area — the share of the sheet removed — is chosen against the job: enough for the air, the light or the view, not so much that the panel loses its stiffness. Because cutting, folding and finishing are in one facility, a perforated panel can leave as a finished, framed, coated component.
From your file to a finished panel
- Send your pattern — a standard pattern reference, or your own drawing; DWG, DXF or PDF.
- We confirm material and open area — grade, thickness, hole size, pitch and margin, and whether the pattern needs a change to stay flat.
- Perforating and cutting — the pattern is produced, the sheet is cut to the panel outline and checked.
- Downstream, if you need it — folding, framing, welding, polishing or PVD on the same order.
