Copper & Brass

Copper and brass sheet, strip, tube and bar for architectural, decorative and electrical work, supplied in Saudi Arabia and laser cut, etched, polished or antique finished before delivery.

Copper and brass are the warm metals in the catalogue. Architects specify them for lift interiors, reception walls, signage and handrails where a gold or bronze tone has to be the real thing; engineers use them for busbars, heat exchangers and machined fittings.
The range is organised by alloy. C11000 is tough-pitch copper for electrical and decorative sheet, and C12200 is deoxidised copper for tube and brazed work. C26000 cartridge brass is the formable decorative sheet, C27200 the yellow brass for strip and tube, and C36000 free-cutting brass the bar for machined parts.
What the copper and brass range covers
- Copper sheet and strip for cladding, busbars and etched panels.
- Brass sheet in tempers that fold and emboss without cracking.
- Copper and brass tube for handrails and heat-transfer work.
- Free-cutting brass round and hexagonal bar for turned components.
Choosing between copper and brass
Copper is softer, more conductive and weathers from pink to brown and then green. Brass is harder, holds a polish, and keeps a yellow to gold tone that darkens slowly indoors. For a panel touched every day, brass wears better; for a surface meant to age visibly, copper is the choice.
Finish, protection and the PVD alternative
Sheet is laser cut to pattern, etched with logos and repeat motifs, and polished to a satin or mirror surface. An antique finish accelerates the natural patina, and a clear lacquer holds any of these surfaces where they are.
Where a brief wants the look of brass on a façade or a mashrabiya screen without the weight or upkeep, PVD-coloured stainless steel is the usual substitute. The article on what PVD stainless steel is explains when solid brass is still the right answer.
What a good enquiry contains
- Alloy and temper, or the application if you want a recommendation.
- Thickness, sheet or bar size, and quantity by piece or by weight.
- Finish: mill, polished, etched, antique, lacquered or left to weather.
- Drawings or artwork for any cutting or etching.
Send them through the quotation form and the material and the processing are quoted together.
Common questions
Will brass tarnish indoors?
Yes, slowly. Untouched brass darkens over months in a dry interior and faster where hands or humidity reach it. A clear lacquer or wax slows this to years, and a polished panel can be brought back with a brass cleaner.
Can copper and brass be laser cut and etched?
Yes. Both cut cleanly by fibre laser and both etch well. Send the artwork as a vector file and the etch depth or cut pattern is checked on a sample before the run.
Is PVD gold a real substitute for brass?
For most façade, lift and cladding work, yes. PVD gold on stainless steel gives a stable colour that does not tarnish and weighs less on a large area. Where the metal will be machined or expected to age, solid brass or copper is still the honest choice.
Can I order small quantities of copper or brass sheet?
Yes. Decorative and repair jobs often need a single sheet or a short length of tube, and the enquiry is handled like a project order. State the alloy, size and finish and the quotation shows what the works can supply and the lead time for the rest.
